MARCH
Sunday Night Lenten Worship
Every Sunday Thru March 17 at 6 PM
The season of Lent is a time of prayer, fasting and self-examination that helps us draw near to God. Beginning on February 18th, we will be offering Sunday Night worship during Lent (2/18-3/17) to help us journey towards the cross. Join us on Sunday Nights in Emmaus Hall from 6pm-7pm as we make room to encounter Christ through worship, prayer, and meditation on God’s Word that highlights the final days of Jesus’ life on earth. Nursery care for ages 2 and under and children’s ministry for grades 2 and under will be provided.
Handel's Messiah
March 24 at 4 PM
The Passion Sunday Chorale and instrumentalists will perform Part 2 of Handel's Messiah under the direction of our Minister of Music, Leon Reid. This part of Handel's Messiah focuses on the Passion of Jesus Christ, which will be a great way to share the gospel and to begin meditating on Holy Week.
At-Home Guide, Maundy Thursday
March 28 At-Home
Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper when Jesus shared the Passover meal with his disciples on the night before his crucifixion. Jesus led His disciples in the first act of Communion using the bread and wine of the Passover meal to symbolize his death and resurrection. Maundy Thursday is a time to reflect on Jesus’ sacrificial love and humility which he demonstrated by washing the feet of His disciples, then commanding them to go and serve likewise. It is our hope and prayer that you will encounter Jesus, the Servant King, this Maundy Thursday. Here are a some ways you and your family can celebrate at home.
Prayer Vigil
March 28 at 8 PM - March 29 at 12 PM
On the night Jesus was betrayed, he asked his disciples to pray with him through the night. We carry on that tradition today as we remember his sacrifice. Pray from home or in our sanctuary anytime between 8 PM on Thursday and 12 PM on Friday, no need to sign-up.
Good Friday Service
March 29 at 12 PM
Join us for our noontime contemplative service at the hour of Jesus' death, where we reflect on his last words before dying on the cross.
In addition we will have a program for kids in 5th grade and under. Nursery will be available for ages 2 & under.

Discover Stanwich Spring Class
April 21 During 10:45 AM Service
Why Church membership? Church membership gives individuals a way to express a commitment to a family of believers. It's a way to show one's commitment to the church body externally. It takes courage to step forward, make this commitment/vow to a church, and keep them. However, there is a great blessing in making a verbal commitment of love to a group of believers.
We invite you to learn more about Stanwich Church membership, our ministries, beliefs, and vision and ask your questions about us. We do not assume that your participation in Discover Stanwich means that you will join; we hope to provide you with the information you need to prayerfully consider Stanwich Church as your spiritual home. We will meet in person during the 10:45 am service. Childcare is provided.
