Evensong was born out of the love and faith of those in the Stanwich Church community who wanted to create an alternative offering of worship on Sunday evenings.

The Evensong worship service celebrates the goodness, truth and beauty of God through variations of modern music combined with ancient traditions practiced in the Church throughout history. 

We seek to explore and regain the integral relationship between faith and the arts and how this unfolds in our everyday lives.  We also realize our need to serve in the world by bringing God's justice and mercy to those whose voice cannot be heard.

But most of all we are simply a living, active family of faith with an intimate relationship with God.  Some come who know Him, some come to seek Him, some don't know Him in the least, but all are welcome.  We gather together on Sunday evenings to sing, listen, pray, learn and just hang out. 

The service is followed by food and fellowship in Emmaus Hall.
