Anitta Tilly Director of Childrens' Ministries
Anitta began attending Stanwich Church in 1999 after participating in a women’s Bible study group at Rev. Neely Towe’s home. Since 2002 Anitta has combined her creative talents and love of children to develop a fun and nurturing environment for children at Stanwich, from Sunday School to summer Vacation Bible School to family fun nights. She directs the annual Christmas Pageant and the Christmas musical drama “Hark the Herald”. She has directed children’s productions outside of Stanwich as well, having led a 60-member cast of the Christmas musical drama "Joy Story" for many years.
In addition to her role as Director of Children's Ministries, Anitta is also the coordinator of the annual mission trip to Russia. She leads a group from Stanwich to the Karelia region of Western Russia to host a week-long summer Bible camp for over 500 children.
Anitta is a native of Finland, where she obtained a B.S. degree and became a physical therapist. Before joining the staff at Stanwich she ran a physical therapy practice in Greenwich. She and her husband Dave have five children. |
