Genie Wells

Program Administrator

     Genie began working full-time at Stanwich in 1998, but has been deeply involved in several volunteer ministries at Stanwich for many years.  She is currently prayer chain coordinator, and previously has been Sunday School Coordinator, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and small group leader. 

     Genie is a native of New Jersey.  Prior to assuming her current duties, she taught middle-school English in Wilton and worked at the New Canaan YMCA as an Administrative Assistant.  She has a B. A. degree from Monmouth College in Illinois and a Masters from the University of New Hampshire. 

     Genie’s husband Tom is also very active at Stanwich.  He leads the Spiritual Gifts course and focuses on preparing members to be effective ministry leaders.  Genie and Tom have two grown daughters, and a “canine child” named Macintosh, who extends friendly and eager greetings to visitors to the church office.
