HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Please check out our youth site stanwichyouth.org for upcoming special events for students in grades 9-12. For more information about our youth programs, please
contact Lee Fletcher, Director of Youth Ministries.
Alethia
Alethia (named for the Greek word "truth") is our high school fellowship group which combines food and fellowship with teaching and small group study. Alethia meets on Tuesday evenings during the school year. The goal of Alethia is to provide a safe place for students to ask questions and discuss issues that are relevant to teens today, and to create a space where students will feel inspired to cultivate a life-long relationship with God.
Mission Trips
Stanwich provides high school students with opportunities to serve on mission trips during school breaks in spring and summer. Last year they travelled to Guatemala
to work at an orphanage and on repairs to a widow's home, and to South Carolina to work at a day-care facility for underprivileged children. Please check the mission trips page for details about upcoming trips.
Young Life
Many Stanwich students participate in weekly "Club" meetings hosted by
Young Life, a non-denominational Christian organization that Stanwich supports. Young Life also organizes special events for students throughout the school year,
and camps in the winter and summer.
FOCUS
FOCUS, the Fellowship Of Christians in Universities and Schools, is another
Christian organization that Stanwich supports which offers a non-denominational ministry to students in high school and college. FOCUS meets weekly during the school year, and hosts a variety of summer camping opportunities at their property
on Martha’s Vineyard.
