MINISTRIES

Ministry is not just for pastors!  Ministry is simply another word for serving. 

The Bible says that every Christian is called to service, and that it is the

central focus of the Christian life.  Every person has a unique combination

of gifts, abilities, personality and experiences that are designed for serving

God.    

Ministries come in all shapes and sizes, but they are all important.  Some

are visible, some are behind the scenes, but all play a key role in the life of

the church.  We are dependent on each other, and when we use our gifts to

serve each other, we all benefit.         

Throughout the Bible we are encouraged to “serve the Lord with all your heart”. 

This call to service is not about acting out of guilt or obligation, but rather with joy

and deep gratitude to God.   We invite you to read more about all of the ministries

at Stanwich, and to consider how you might use your unique shape to serve God

by ministering to others.
