SPECIAL EVENTS

All-Church Picnic

Our Stanwich family loves to gather together for food and fellowship, and the all-church picnic is one of the favorite events of the year.   Volunteers are needed to provide and cook food, set up, clean up, and organize activities for the children. 

Greening of the Church 

Join us the first Saturday in December to decorate our sanctuary for the Advent season to help celebrate the birth of Christ.

Maundy Thursday  

One of the most cherished events of Holy Week is the Maundy Thursday service

and supper.  Volunteers participate in reading the words of Jesus at the Last Supper, and prepare a seder supper that is shared together in silence. 

Pivot Lunch

On the Sunday before Thanksgiving following the 11:15 a.m. service, Stanwich

hosts a joyous turkey dinner in the upper room for the men from Pivot, an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center in Norwalk and Bridgeport.  Volunteers are needed

to donate, prepare and serve food. 

Vision New England

More than a dozen Stanwich members attend this annual conference in Boston. 

The emphasis is on listening to distinguished speakers, enjoying the singing of outstanding vocalists, engaging in spiritual development, and benefiting from fellowship with other committed Christians.

Weddings and Funerals

This ministry provides the myriad of important behind-the-scenes help for

weddings and funerals. 

39 Club Lunch 

A special luncheon with music and laughter is scheduled twice a year for our wonderful seniors, one in December and one in May.  Volunteers are needed

to help serve and entertain the guests.
