To participate on a mission trip, please do the following:
1. Email a completed missions application form to the Trip Leader.
Download the application
2. Pay for the full cost of the trip expenses by the due date. (For those who
cannot provide 100% of their trip expenses, Stanwich may have limited
funds available for partial scholarships. To apply for financial assistance,
complete the financial aid form which is included in the application packet.)
3. Participate in all preparatory team meetings for the specific trip.

Guatemala
February 2010 |
Volunteers worked with Pastor Rafi Agrait and Last Call Ministries to complete an enclosed kitchen area at the new school, purchase a chemo iv-drip machine for the Guatemala City Children's Cancer Hospital ICU, and pay off a mortgage on a small apartment for a family of 8. They also distributed beanie babies and school supplies donated by the Stanwich congregation to 150 children who live in the rural area of El Tablon.

Mali, West Africa

Ingrid Davis led several talks and leadership seminars to over 75 women missionaries, ex-patriates, and nurses in Mali, West Africa, where she and Senior Pastor Chuck Davis had lived for 7 years as missionaries. Read full story in .pdf>>

September 2009 |
Global Hope Network (GHN) and Rick Watson, Chairperson of the Stanwich Missions Committee, led a group of volunteers to the rural village of Dokrah Jhara in India to begin excavation of an irrigation pond, and to strengthen the partnership between GHN and the local villagers for future development efforts.

from World Vision and a local church to assist in home repairs and lead a Vacation Bible School.

The students worked in various ways to help the city rebuild from the still lingering effects of Hurricane Katrina.

Bob Caie and Femi Olowosoyo travelled to Galveston, Texas to help the relief effort after Hurricane Ike.

India and Nepal
December 2008 |
Rick Watson, Chairperson of the Stanwich Missions Committee, traveled for two weeks in India and Nepal to investigate potential missions partnerships in those countries. He traveled with leaders from Global Hope Network International, a humanitarian aid and community development organization. The group explored several areas of urgent need including health care, clean water, care for orphans, agriculture, leadership development, computer training and English lessons.

Rick Watson, Chairperson of the Stanwich Missions Committee, and Bethany Johnson, Director of The Rising Group, traveled for two weeks in China with leaders from Global Hope Network International, a humanitarian aid and community development organization. The group worked with children and teachers at a rural school, distributed food at two remote villages, met with young professionals, and visited an area devastated by an earthquake that may have claimed as many as 80,000 lives.

Rev. Chuck Davis led a group of high school students from Stanwich on a summer mission trip to Guatemala. During their week's stay they tore down a widow's dilapidated house and built a new one with money donated by the Stanwich congregation.
