Stanwich Says Farewell to Rev. Neely Towe
Stanwich celebrated 18 years of leadership by Rev. Neely Towe at a special service held Friday evening, January 26. A Litany of Gratitude
recognized Neely's leadership and her unwavering commitment to letting the Holy
Spirit guide us in taking the love of Jesus to Greenwich, the surrounding area, and the world.
Highlights of the evening included a musical tribute by Neely's grandchildren, a video featuring photographs from Neely's tenure,
and a presentation of gifts of memories containing messages from the congregation and photographs taken during her ministry. Also, the Trustees announced that the "Towe Fund for New Ministry", which was created to honor Neely and her husband Rolf, had accumulated $83,000 "and counting". The evening culminated with a festive reception in Emmaus Hall and adjacent party tent, where everyone could wish Neely and Rolf farewell
and thank them personally.
On Sunday, January 28, Neely preached
her final sermon as Stanwich's Senior Pastor, and blessed Chuck Davis as he takes over as the new Senior Pastor of Stanwich Church. Listen to Neely's final sermon.
We thank God for Neely's devoted service
to our Lord and our church, and we pray for His continued blessing of Neely and Rolf in this next chapter of their lives.
