VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Stanwich is so grateful for all of the volunteers who devote their time and talents to serve our Lord and each other. Now that we have moved to our beautiful new building, we have an even greater need for volunteers. Please prayerfully consider how your talents and interests might be used at Stanwich. For a list of specific volunteer needs that are especially urgent, please visit our Volunteer Today page.
If you have a talent for music, you could join the choir, praise team, Evensong band or holiday musicians group.
If you love children, you could volunteer in the nursery, as a youth leader or as a Sunday School teacher or helper.
If you love people, you could be a friendly visitor, usher, greeter, coffee hour host/hostess, pew shepherd or small group leader.
If you are artistic, you could help with performing or directing dramas and the Christmas pageant, work with children on crafts, design graphics and layouts for communications and the web site, or be a Stanwich photographer.
If you have administrative gifts, you could answer phones, enter data, assist
with publications or the web site, or coordinate special events.
If you love to cook, you could prepare food for coffee hour or special events,
bake bread for first-time visitors, provide meals to members who are ill, or
prepare food for local missions work such as New Covenant House in Stamford
or Midnight Run in New York City.
The list is long and the need is great. Please check out our Ministries page to read about all of the ways you could help. Your service will not only help the church, but also give you an opportunity to grow in your faith and to experience tremendous joy as you minister to others.
